Rocking the Shades in SoCAL - Ten

On the way back to Fling's house, I was in the car with him, George, and Tim, and we pass by Del Taco and Felix asks if anyone is hungry. I look back and ask George and by some miscommunication he answers "Sure I can eat.. but we just had a huge meal at Kbbq". So we take this as a yes and head into the drive-thru, only to have no one order anything haha.

Back to homebase and it's roughly 2:30 am now and Fling starts packing for his flight which departs at 6 am. There is a little debate as George is beyond tired, impossible for him to drive but we didn't want to stay at the house without Felix being there, since it would be uncomfortable for Marge. I casually suggest finding a Denny's where we could chill a bit while George catches some winks in the car but for some unexplainable reason Mac keeps saying that's impossible. Well whatevers, in the meantime George has found his way into the bedroom and is snoozing away. Some more discussion ensues and now Marge is going to drive Felix to the airport instead of Anna. Anna departs and we agree to party it up when she comes to visit the bay. As Marge prepares to drive Felix to the airport, Mac and I decide to ride along to keep Marge company on the ride back, giving George some more time to sleep and at the same time Reod and Pres can rest up too. I guess there wouldn't have been such a rush need to leave so early except I had to be back in the Bay by around noon in order to go to Lisa's bbq. Lord knows I am not allowed to miss Lisa's July 4th weekend BBQ! Sometime between coming back and leaving, the lizard was moved from the side of the porch into the bush bed by Marge. Right before we leave, we go to take a look at the lizard but unfortuately it has really passed on, it wasn't moving at all. We hum a little off tune farewell song for it.

The drive there involved some humorous discussion about an old old container of milk. After dropping off Felix at LAX and seeing an emotional and touching moment between bro and sis (aww), during the drive back Marge chats up about Chicago and how much she enjoys that city. I don't think I've ever seen a person so excited about one city before, as she loved the scents, the history, the flat roads, the foods. Pretty neato. We get back to the house and wake George up. As George is gathering his stuff, Marge suddenly shrieks and runs out of the room laughing. It is then that Mac and I notice the drool mark on the pillow that George had blessed the bed with. HAHAH. Mac tries to cover it up but to no avail. That was way too funny. Parting ways with Marge, she assures us that she does not consider us weird internet folks anymore. As soon as we reach out the door, Mac forgets his pillow. Big thanks to Marge for having to clean up after us, as we left many towels, wrinkled pillows, and disheveled blankets.

It is decided that I'm gonna drive Mac's car with Pres riding shot and Mac sleeping in the back, while George and Reod are gonna ride together. As soon as I get into the car, I back it into the neighbor's garbage can... full of garbage. I look back and George and Tim are laughing their heads off and Mac hollers "go go go!" So we take off without putting the garbage can back upright. A quick stop at the first gas station results in 0 energy drinks so I head off to another to pick up 4 Amps to power me back. Since we were only 2 cars (without Foobie and his super sensitive radar detector), our drive back is a lot faster.. as I like to spend as little time on the road as possible. We have one stop off an hour and a half in at the McD's that my sister and I had stopped at before, since George and Tim were hella hungry. Refueling is a mini adventure as the stupid cc machine wasn't working and the lady inside took forever getting my pump stall registered. Then George and Reod made fun of the way I was wiping the bugs off the window. hehe. The rest of the drive back pretty much went with George foraging ahead and me trying hella hard to catch up in Mac's car while asking Pres every 5 minutes "is it clear on the right?". hahah. I usually don't allow cars to pass me on I-5. Except for this one stupid chick with a winnie the pooh thing on the windshield, she wouldn't let me pass her. Mac slept most of the way back but when he did wake-up he sadly announced that his media card had reformatted lost all his pics, which were mostly golf and batting cage pics. We made pretty decent time on the drive back given the numerous cars on the road in the daytime, since we left at 6 am and got back at about 11 am.
What a terrific adventure, there's rumors of a winnebago trip or something to Chicago next.
